I teach a few ceramic classes at Kansas City Academy and we have made garden tags out of clay. Interested in a tag making party? I have the lettering stamps and clay if fairly inexpensive…let me know.

It was a good movie that avoided Michael Moore-like tactics that tend to turn people off. Sure, it was preaching to the choir (local farmers’ markets have always been the healthy and economical way to go), but I hope that it’ll reach a few people who may not know some of the stuff.

Obviously, the filmmakers picked a worst-case scenario with a mother of a son who died in 12 days from Ecoli poisoning, but I think the manufacturer’s response is what’s important. It told her to shut up and didn’t even apologize. That’s not exactly good business, unless government’s on your side.
